These pages are designed to allow students, academic professionals and other potential readers to make acquaintance with me and my work.
You may have heard about or already read my study of the African American community in Wilmington, N.C.—Black Wilmington and the North Carolina Way. Some may be acquainted with my magazine publications, the People’s Civic Record, and the Carolina Civic Voice. Still others may have heard about or actually read my poetry.
Others, for whatever reason, may have simply heard talk of my doings over the years through my travel and activism in reform causes.
Involved in the public affairs in North Carolina and South Carolina primarily through research, writing, and occasionally through advocacy and reform through more than thirty years—there may be some who would like to find out more about me and my work.
